Seek the Lord

Forgiveness is such a beautiful gift. We all sin, fail and come up short of the glory of God. When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden, then it brought sin upon all flesh. While sin does happen in our lives, God gives us freedom of choice. We can continue in our sinful ways or we can try with everything inside of us to do better. When we know to do better then we should do better.

The enemy loves it when we allow our sins to come between God and us. He loves it when we give in to his temptations. Satan also tempted Jesus. We can read about it in Matthew. With every lie that the devil said to Jesus, Jesus answered with the truth. That’s how we need to answer our temptations. When the enemy places his lie in our minds, then we need to seek the truth of God’s word.

When the enemy tries to make us worship him by worrying and allowing our fear to be bigger than our faith, then we need to answer as Jesus answered.

Matthew 4:9-10 (KJV)
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

God will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are capable of handling. When we feel weak, instead of giving in to the temptations, God wants us to seek Him. If we turn from the enemy and fix our eyes on God, then He will give us the strength to defeat the enemy. The devil has never been able to defeat our Lord.

In those instances when we fail, then we need to seek forgiveness. We serve a loving, forgiving God. If we ask Him to forgive our sins, then He will forgive them. Then, He can take the whole situation and use it for His good. God can take our faults and failures and use them to strengthen us.

If you are struggling with something that you’ve been praying about for years, let me share this story with you. God has not forgotten your prayer. He hears your deepest heartaches and feels your pain. When the time is just right He will answer your prayer, according to His will. And it will be better than you can even imagine.

I prayed for God to heal my hands for years. I’m not sure the exact time frame, but it was around 30 years. Then, when I least expected it God answered my prayer. He had a plan all along. I’m still rejoicing in my heart over my thumb.

Whatever the situation, I urge you to seek the Lord. He has the answers to all your questions and the solution to all your problems. It is such a blessing to walk this life with Him by my side. While God does everything in His time when He moves in our lives the blessings always exceed the heartaches. If we only train our mind to look for them.

P.S. If you enjoyed this please share it so your family and friends can read it as well. :)
