The Power Of Our Story

I love books. Whatever I’m struggling with, right now in my life, someone else has already been through. While it might not fix my problem, just knowing that someone else has had a struggle similar to mine gives me hope and lets me know that I am not alone. Reading how they have overcome their problem gives me ideas and strategies to help my situation.

A few years ago, I was burned out with everything. My schedule was so tight that I had very little time to rest and regroup. I was constantly pouring out to everyone else, but I was trying to drink from an empty cup. When I heard about an online training course to inspire and motivate, I was a little skeptical. After all, I was drained, emotionally and physically, but I felt a little tug in my heart to at least try it.

The first day, I was inspired. I felt as if the authors were telling my story. In that moment, it hit me. I was not alone. Knowing they had many of my same struggles, but had learned to overcome them, gave me hope and encouraged me. I realized then that I need daily motivation.

Soon, I feel in love with podcasts and audio books. Every morning I start my day by reading my Bible. I want my life centered on God. After I’ve read my Bible, then I will listen to some type of audio program while I get ready for my day. I love hearing other people’s stories.

The pressures of this life can get us all down. The devil purposely tries to derail and defeat us. While I don’t wake up every day motivated, I have learned to go looking for inspiration.  That is also why it is so important for us to share our journey with others. We never know who we might help or who needs to hear our story.

Love and blessings,

Candida
