Normally, I write my blogs very early in the morning, when there are no interruptions. Saturday, however, is the one glorious day when I allow myself to sleep in. By the time I got up and started my day, this morning, other things had come up and my writing time and exercise got delayed.
Then, my home exploded with little boys and toy guns. It’s hard to even think, not to mention write, in the middle of a war zone. Now it’s the evening and neither one of my daily “must do” chores have been completed and I’m feeling a little stressed about it.
It just reminds me that the important things in our lives need to be scheduled. If not, it will be so easy to push it aside and then not do it at all. That’s where I am at right now. My body is stiff and a little achy and I just want to lie around and read a book. I have gotten my body used to working out early without really thinking about, and now that I’ve had time to think about it, I’ve had time to come up with various excuses.
I had almost talked myself into skipping my workout today, until my husband announced that he is he beating me in our daily Fitbit challenge. Beating him is the motivation I need to get up and just do my workout. Having accountability in my challenge group also helps. Working on our health is hard, so it really helps to have a support system.
Hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday! We are having homemade pizza later and I’m excited about it. Well as excited as anyone can be about gluten and dairy free pizza. ;)
Love and blessings,
Candida
Update: I just finished my 21 day fix workout and I’m currently beating my husband on Fitbit. Life is good.
